An experienced oncologist, Ram Kancherla, MD, guides and delivers care to Poughkeepsie, New York patients at the Hudson Valley Cancer Center. With an extensive immunotherapy background, Dr. Ram Kancherla also provides access to traditional chemotherapy and infusions in fighting cancer. He and his colleagues maintain a compassionate and welcoming environment and strives to provide patients and their families with advanced, quality care.

Dr. Kancherla's team is known for facilitating complex bone marrow and stem cell transplants, and they also offer genetic counseling. Having taken part in numerous clinical trials, his present affiliations extend to the Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY and the Putnam Hospital Center.

Dr. Kancherla undertook his residency at the State University of New York at Brooklyn. He subsequently completed a hematology and oncology fellowship in Valhalla at the New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Ram Kancherla has experience leading the latter institution’s Autologous Stem Cell and Transplant Program, and he was also associate director of the Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Training Program.
